Three years ago, when the BTO flat my husband and I got was approaching the 5 year minimum occupation period mark, I took the opportunity to get licensed to sell it off.
When I first started marketing my own unit, I was doing what everyone else was doing. Uploading photos on property portals and hoping for enquiries. However, the results I got were far from desirable. Even when there were viewers, the common feedback received was that they didn't like that it was low floor and that the unit felt bare.
This made me look into ways that I could increase the appeal of homes. Besides, I was looking to sell above the market rate and wasn’t going to settle for anything less.
Since then, I started marketing my flat differently. By doing things like home staging to change the whole look and feel of the house, leveraging on social media marketing and creating a well-thought out video to bring buyers on a virtual tour of the house, my flat was sold within less than a month.
Today, I have helped numerous home owners do the same by adding tremendous value to the sale of my clients' homes.
