Concept-Based Learning – To Quickly Level Up The Student’s Mastery
Most students’ understanding of Physics concepts is limited to blind memorisation of the formulas and application to straightforward questions.
This is due to the heavy content covered and the hectic schedule in school, where the student’s misconceptions and doubts may be left unaddressed.
Hence, students always say “I don’t really understand the concepts previously taught.”
At Concept First, we quickly rebuild our student’s concept mastery and application by going back to these fundamental concepts.
For example, we chunk down a complex concept into multiple digestible parts.
For each part, the teacher will do 1 example, followed by a practice question that both the teacher and students will do together.
After which, the student would practice this part of the complex concept endlessly to lock in the learning.
And just in case you’re wondering, all assignments are marked with feedback while the notes and worksheets are curated in-house.
Then, in the next lesson (2h each), we’ll spend the first 15 minutes to recap again.

Concept First tutors explain their concepts very clearly and provide ample exercises for the students to practise those new concepts. Having studied here for a year, they have greatly aided me in helping myself achieve a B in A Levels (initially U grader) as well as spark my passion for Physics (i once hated this subject).
